Household Hazardous Waste (HHW):
Any unwanted household product labeled as flammable, toxic, corrosive, or reactive.
Before you throw that chemical away, is there a better place for it than in your trash can or down the drain? Many common household chemicals can cause damage to the environment when they are not disposed of properly. We don't want hazardous waste in our landfills either.
These are some of the items that require special "pitching" instructions. Some can be disposed of at the local landfill while others can be recycled or disposed of through other local sources or at a Household Hazardous Waste (HHW) Event that occurs typically every 2 years. The next event is expected to be held in the fall of 2025.
**Please complete the form on the left (if you are on a desktop) or towards the bottom of the page (on a mobile device) to get on the list to be notified when the next event is scheduled.
