EMS Virtual Town Hall Meeting
When:EMS Town Hall Meetings Information and Registration (Deadline to Register is Friday, August 2nd at 5pm CT)
EMS Stakeholders,
Department of Health Secretary Melissa Magstadt would like to invite EMS Stakeholders to participate in one of three upcoming EMS Virtual Town Hall meetings.
These meetings will take place: August 8 from noon-2pm CT, August 8 from 3-5pm CT, and August 15 from noon-2pm CT.
Representation from the Department of Health’s Office of EMS and Trauma along with the Board of Medical and Osteopathic Examiners will cover topics including, but not limited to:
- Driver Certification
- Customer Service
- Specific requirements of a physician supervisor
- Online processes
- Scope of Practice for EMR and EMTs
- Additional Stakeholder Questions
Attendees should include:
- Emergency Medical Responders
- Emergency Medical Technicians
- Advanced Life Support Providers
- First Responders providing mutual aid services in an EMS response
REQUEST BY AUGUST 2 at 5pm CT: We want to hear from you and would like you to register in advance for one of the Virtual Town Halls. Please indicate your availability and any questions you would like answered in the survey link below. This link will be live through August 2, at 5pm CT. In preparation for these Town Hall meetings (and before submission of any questions), please visit the Board of Medical and Osteopathic Examiners website at SDBMOE - EMERGENCY MEDICAL SERVICES for the most current FAQ document. The FAQ document and many other resources have been widely appreciated by EMS professionals during this transition.
