When:Course Description:
Designed to develop the management skills of Company Officers (CO’s) to effectively command one or more companies during structural firefighting operations.
The course focuses on decision-making for engine and truck companies, emphasizing critical actions, strategic planning, and tactical execution for tasks such as fire confinement, exposure protection, extinguishment, rescue, ventilation, and overhaul.
Key components include understanding command sequences, fireground benchmarks and applying tactical decision-making models to common fire scenarios.
Who Should attend: The primary target for the "Strategy and Tactics for Initial Company Operations" (STICO) course is: Newly Promoted Company Officers ; Excellent review for experienced Company Officers; Firefighters who may have acting Company Officers responsibilities;Firefighters who want to become Company Officers .
